This is a very intersting article about what appears to be attempts by the main stream media to defeat Ron Paul. It is persuasive but the real reason I'm linking to it is what's written in the yellow box at the bottom of the page.

A Calvin and Hobbes Education

We were reviewing for Mikey's(11yo) English lesson today and he was asked to give the definition of a pronoun. His response:

"A noun that's lost it's amateur status?"

Yes, he may not remember anything I teach but he can memorize completely his entire Calvin and Hobbes comic book.

My very first! Thanks to Meredith over at The Ugly Trunk. I've been looking for a good excuse to write on my blog but it's hard to come up with a good enough reason to break four months of silence. Now I have my excuse!

"8 Random things about me"

8. I can't stand to touch other people's feet or underwear. So I don't do well with foot rubs or folding other people's clothes.

7. I've painted four rooms in the past week and am about to paint my fifth.

6. I have a knack for trying to get a different color but ending up with basically the same shade just in a different name!

5. I switched my major in college from education to accounting after spending a week in a classroom with 25 kindergartners. It felt like a scene from "Lockdown"(prison movie with Stallone).

4. I now homeschool my six kids and absolutely LOVE it! Who knew?!

3. It's 2:19pm and I am still in pajamas. (See #7. I'm wiped out.)

2. I asked my 17yo to help me with this list and she laughed because she couldn't think of anything positive. Hey!

1. My 8yo chimed in and said, "Your the best mom that ever lived!" (God bless her!)

As a follow-up to my Walmart post, I found this article. You still won't find me anywhere near a Walmart or other large retail store the day after Thanksgiving. Not even if you double-dog dare me!
